Nkem Osian is a Public Health Analyst for the United States Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, Ms. Osian works to ensure that low-income, uninsured, and underinsured People with HIV/AIDS have access to optimal HIV treatment and care. Ms. Osian also serves as the Board Secretary for The White Dress Project (WDP), a national non-profit organization whose mission is to raise national awareness about the uterine fibroid epidemic. In her role as Board Secretary, Ms. Osian contributes to the formulation of practices and policies that help to advance the mission of The WDP through activities such as education, advocacy, and research. Ms. Osian struggles with fibroids and is passionate about telling her story in hopes that it helps to break down the walls of silence and empower other women to do the same.
